Our Mission

“…assuring no one in Licking County goes hungry.”

The Food Pantry Network of Licking County is a cooperative that was established by a group of volunteers recognizing a need to coordinate the acquisition and distribution of emergency food supplies within Licking County. We have been serving hungry neighbors in our community since 1981 and we will be here until hunger isn’t.

Our History

1986: The Food Pantry Network of Licking County was incorporated in the state of Ohio on April 7, 1986.

1987: The Food Pantry Network of Licking County was federally chartered as a private 501(c)3 non-profit charitable organization.

2011: The Food Pantry Network of Licking County began their partnership with The Salvation Army to create a Soup Kitchen offering a hot meal 365 days a year.

2013: The Weekly Produce Market program was created to allow for the weekly distribution of fresh fruits and vegetables, ensuring access to healthy and nutritious fresh food for low-income families throughout Licking County.

2014: A partnership was created with the Licking County Family YMCA to begin offering a Backpack Program to the schools throughout Licking County, providing eligible students with food each weekend that schools are in session. This program currently serves 500 kids each week within 22 schools.

2015: Outgrowing our warehouse on Steele Ave, FPN of Licking County relocated to the current location on Brice Street, increasing storage capacity from a 15-day supply to a 45-day supply for Licking County.

2020: The Network installed a solar field which saves the agency around $1,000 a month in electricity. This project was fully funded by some generous donors in Licking County.

2021: Recognizing a need to further help our neighbors who do not have access to cooking utensils and kitchens, the No Cook Bags Program was created to provide food to individuals who are in need of food assistance.
